KZG, the #1 Custom ProLine™, has introduced the SP OSX, an offset driver designed specifically to meet the needs of those golfers who tend to leave the club face open at impact or push the ball through the swing.
The offset and closed club face is cosmetically concealed giving the SP OSX a traditional appearance. The face insert is heat-treated and forged from SP 700, the highest grade of beta titanium available, giving superior rebound and distance. The driver delivers a dense sound and solid feel giving confidence to the player.
The SP OSX is well suited for the experienced golfer challenged by a driver, as well as the beginner. High handicap players that slice the ball and the stronger player who swings from outside-in with a late release will discover that the SP OSX is a great fix. Additionally, the new 16º XSL loft will aid those golfers with slow swing speeds and enable them to achieve an ideal trajectory.
MSRP starts at $299 and is available in 10.5 º, 12 º, 14 º and 16º lofts.

Michelle Wie will take on the men of the PGA Tour next week at the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open. This will mark the eight time eighteen year old Wie takes a shot at the men, though she has yet to make the cut.
While Wie played well at this weekends State Farm Classic in Illinois, she was disqualified on Saturday after officials discovered that Wie failed to sign her scorecard after Friday’s second round play. Wie would have been one shot back of the leader heading into the final day of play.
The ommission may prove costly to Wie, who has yet to secure a spot on the 2009 LPGA Tour card and might have to go through two rounds of qualifying if she doesn’t earn another $80,000 in winnings this year. A top finish this weekend would have secured her spot.
The Reno-Tahoe Open starts Thursay, July 31 at the Montreaux Golf & Country Club.

Greg Norman was riding high three weeks after getting married to tennis great Chris Evert and sitting atop the leaderboard heading into the final day of play at the British Open at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club. Norman at age 53 was the sentimental favorite to win the British Open after the first few days of play. Norman shot a 7 over to finish the 4 shots back of the 2008 British Open champion, 36 year old Irishman, Padraig Harrington who shot a 1-under 69 on the final day of the Open.
After a total of 8 birdies and only 6 bogies in the first three rounds of play, Norman had only one birdie and 8 bogies on Sunday, which proved his demise though a third place finish and close to $510,000 in earnings is a great consolation prize.

Kenny Perry had been the hottest player in golf with three tournament wins in his last five tournaments, so when he decided to skip to the British Open and play at the U.S. Bank Championship for which he had made a previous commitment to play Perry received some criticism for not trying his hot hand at a Major Championship. In our previous posts, we discussed and respected Perry’s reasoning and everyone expected him to dominate the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee, with most of the big name players participating in the British Open. However the first three days of the tournament shot a 3-under 67, 2-under 68, and 1-under 69, sitting tied for 30th place 5 shots back of the co-leaders Gavin Coles and Nick Flanagan by 5 shots going into today’s play.
Perry shot a 6-under 64 in Sunday’s play to climb up ont he leaderboard, finishing the day tied for 6th as Sweden’s Richard S. Johnson, also shot a 6-under 64 to win the U.S. Bank Championship after being tied for third one shot back from the leaders at the start of the day.
Perry’s took home $125,000 for his 6th place finish, cushioning his 2nd place spot on the 2008 PGA top money leaders with over $4.3 million in earning in 2008. TigerWoods, who’s season is over because of a leg injury, is the top money leader in so far in 2008 with over $5.7 million in tournament winnings.
